Wanted to share a few items we own and love that are on sale for Prime Day! You can find the full list on my Prime Day 2024 deals page including home goods & gadgets, and my separate list for deals on Kids & baby gear that we own. The kids page is worth checking out for our everyday essentials, gadgets + birthday gift ideas (that Toniebox bundle is legit a great deal!).
One of the only items on my personal wish list this time around is the Oura ring – I’ve been curious about it for a while now but haven’t pulled the trigger. If you own or have tried it, let me know if it’s worth it!
1. Cardigan Jacket
This is a thicker weight, structured sweater jacket that is super versatile – it’s an excellent work from home piece, a convenient layer to keep at the chilly AC’d office, and also great for travel thrown on over leggings & sneakers. See my older review here. I recommend steaming out the creases before wearing to help it hang better!
Sizing: I purchased multiple colors last year in size Small which is a relaxed fit on me. They’ve since come out with XS, which many of you have told me is perfect for smaller-framed petites!
Colors: “Apricot,” which is mostly cream with hints of pink peachy. The color below is “Gray” (more of a taupe), which I find to be most versatile since I tend to wear a lot of cooler neutrals. You can also see a camel color in my older review post.
2. Buttery bodysuit
I have this in 2 colors and have washed and worn them countless times. It’s super soft and smooth and has become a piece I even wear when sitting around at home. The concept of a bodysuit may seem fussy, but it’s come in very handy for not having bulk when tucking into bottoms. Also, I don’t actually snap the bottoms half the time, and just tuck them in!
These trousers were a viral favorite last year! They’re not on sale but the everyday price is a good value for the petite-friendly fit, and the amount of wear I’ve gotten out of them. They’re very easy to wear (lightweight, machine washable, elastic back), and one of the few items on Amazon that actually come in shorter lengths!
Short length fits me with sneakers or a very low heel. I recommend “Khaki thin” and “Black thin,” since the white is see through. See my older review here.
3. Black joggers
Another one of the very few options on Amazon available in Petite sizing. These are pull-on style, and I’ve worn them for a range of “dress codes” from hiking in the woods to a more polished smart casual look. See my previous review here with 7 ways to style them.
4. slip skirt
I picked this one out of the 7 outfit ideas because the Everlane sweater is on final sale for half off! The Almond color is a perfect neutral. The sweater feels a little itchy to me but softens up a bit with hand wash and wear, and it’s less of an issue if you layer a top under.
See a few outfit ideas from last year featuring this skirt. I rotate between the Quince silk slip and this poly one. The Quince XS fits me like the Drop XXS, so a choice between the two will depend on whether you want a more luxe silky fabric or if you just prefer low maintenance, easily machine-washable poly.
5. The Drop sock booties
I got these 2-3 years ago and they were sold out for a good period in between! I didn’t know if they’d be back, but here we are plus a good discount to boot. Each color is priced differently, but black is currently fully stocked and 30% off from 5 to 13!
Sock style booties are my favorite but also frustratingly hard to find. In my search, Stuart Weitzman makes the best quality and shaped ones, followed by this Gentle Souls bootie which is also good quality and the comfiest boot I own.
These Amazon boots are another contender with a higher heel and a sharper, sleeker toe and heel shape. These are not the type of boot I’d want to walk a mile in, but they’re not uncomfortable for the heel height. The benefit of sock style booties is how well they fit under slim jeans or wider pants alike, as seen below!
6. Comfy braided sandals
The search for minimal strappy sandals has been a challenge, and finding ones that are actually comfortable for city walking are even harder!
I got these a year ago as sandals that I can beat up for commuting and travel without worrying about babying them. I wanted straps to secure the shoe, because while slide-on sandals are cute – they’re not easy nor practical to walk longer distances in.
Looks-wise, I’ll be honest that these shoes look like faux leather and not a higher end leather sandal. But for this price point, I’m happy with my purchase. They do their job and are TTS, cushioned and comfortable for me right off the bat, and they still look good a year later!
7. Kids lunch gear
If you have a little one going off to daycare or kindergarten, this is a great time to grab a lunchbox, insulated lunchbag, and backpack! See our Kids Lunch Gear list saved on Amazon.
Our go-to lunch container now is the Omiebox, which is unique in the sense that it has a built-in thermos for warm foods or cold foods. We used to alternate between other lunchboxes, but Nori has been asking exclusively for this one this year!
It’s a little heavy but has good capacity, and the little silicone “inserts” with lids I found are a must. The current Omiebox is new and improved from the original in many ways. We have 2 that we rotate and put on the top rack dishwasher.
