It’s not an exaggeration to say that, thanks to the now-iconic Gucci GG belt, made famous by Alessandro Michele’s first collection in 2015, designer logo belts have become one of the most ubiquitous luxury accessories of the last decade. Now, most super-brands have their own iteration of the classic accessory and adding any one of them to your outfit rotation has become one of the easiest (and most accessible) ways to instantly elevate any look.
Until recently, I was quite ambivalent about logo belts (they have historically had slight “look at me—I’m designer!” vibes), but I’ve noticed more and more stylish individuals embracing the look in a more low-key way. For example, some choose to bring out the retro undertones with flares and printed blouses, while others use theirs to add interest to minimalist separates. The original GG belt was even reimagined on Gucci’s F/W 23 catwalk last year, paired this time with slouchy jeans and oversized Oxford shirts—a move that reignited the fashion world’s interest in the iconic piece. Plus, logo belts of all kind are a (slightly) more affordable way to bag a time-tested piece from a big-name designer. It’s a win-win.
From the original Gucci versions, to Celine and Loewe, there are so many chic options to choose from in order to level up your 2024 wardrobe to luxurious heights. Scroll down to see the best styles to invest in and wear forever…
