Cooking time:
1 hour
Ingredients:
4 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
1/4 cup soy sauce (60 ml)
2 tbsp honey (30 ml)
2 tbsp sesame oil (30 ml)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp ginger, grated
1 tbsp rice vinegar (15 ml)
2 tbsp sesame seeds (30 g), toasted
2 green onions, chopped
salt, to taste
black pepper, to taste
Recipe:
Preheat your oven to 375°F.
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and rice vinegar until well combined.
Place the chicken thighs in a large bowl or resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the chicken is well coated, then cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it in a roasting pan. Season with salt and black pepper.
Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).
In the last 10 minutes of roasting, sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds over the chicken to allow them to adhere to the skin.
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot with your favorite side dishes.
