It’s well and truly winter and surprisingly I can’t get enough. As a die-hard summer gal at heart, I’m putting this down to finally mastering the art of layering. But how I hear you ask? Enter the bodysuit. It might just be my new favourite wardrobe hero, and I for one can’t stop wearing them.

Traditionally the bodysuit screamed secret support and control panels, but you’ll be pleased to know I’ve done the research and the 2024 version couldn’t be further from that. It’s chic, it’s sexy and it’s fast becoming a capsule wardrobe staple.

Whether styling it for a cosy weekend with chunky knitwear and denim or evenings out with leather trousers and a boxy blazer, bodysuits have the power to elevate the most basic of outfits. And they’re not just for when there’s a chill in the air, trust me when I say you’ll still be styling your bodysuit in the spring too. Come warmer weather, they can be worn with linen trousers and Y2K maxi skirts. Think of them as your base layer that can be worn all year round and you’ll soon be hooked.

And from high street to high end, there is a bodysuit for every price point. Plus, whether you’re after an asymmetric or turtle neck style, long sleeved number or a bodysuit with sexy, cut away details, there’s a style to suit everyone. There are even a couple of lace and cashmere options in my edit. Scroll on for the best bodysuits at every price point. You can thank me later.

Style Notes: Try the Skims bodysuit with its pared back approach like Ali.

I’ll try mine with a boxy blazer and high waist denim.

Our go-to for bodysuits on the high street.

I’m obsessed with M&S Heatgen collection.

This is begging to be worn with dark denim and sheepskin jacket.

The cut-out and one shoulder combo might be my new favourite thing.

This option comes with rave reviews.

Style Notes: Invest in a white bodysuit now, and it will see you though many months.

It’s back in stock, run don’t walk.

Made from their sculpting ‘Scuba’ stretch-jersey, it’s giving second-skin fit vibes.

I have this in black and can vouch for how comfortable it is.

It’s a yes from me.

This cashmere and wool mix is going straight into my basket.

Crafted from their stretch jersey fabric.

Style Notes: Note Karina’s boxy fit of her blazer, the proportions work perfectly with the bodysuit.

This ultra soft option is an investment you will wear all year round.

This silhouette is everything.

Who knew that I needed a cashmere ribbed bodysuit? I do now.

It’s the sweetheart neckline for me.

Wait until you see the back!
