Interesting fact: In 1957, Hubert de Givenchy created the first women’s perfume L’Interdit specifically for his muse and close friend Audrey Hepburn. Originally, the fragrance was intended only for her and was not planned for sale. But when Audrey appeared with this scent at the premiere of the film “Sabrina,” fans literally stormed stores demanding to buy the same one. Givenchy agreed to release the perfume, but with one condition: that Audrey Hepburn’s name would be on the bottle. Thus L’Interdit became the first perfume in history created at the request of an actress and the first dedicated to a movie star. By the way, Audrey herself appeared in the perfume’s advertisements for free — simply out of friendship.
