History:
The cocktail “Penicillin” was created by the bartender Sam Ross in 2005. The choice of the cocktail’s name playfully suggests that it has healing or soothing properties, much like the actual antibiotic penicillin.

Smoky notes of whisky with the zesty brightness of fresh lemon juice, delicately sweetened by honey.

Ingredients:
60 ml blended Scotch whisky
7.5 ml Lagavulin 16y whisky
22.5 ml fresh lemon juice
22.5 ml honey syrup
2-3 quarter size fresh ginger, sliced
Recipe:
1. Shake the blended Scotch whisky, lemon juice, and honey syrup with ice.
2. Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
3. Float the Islay single malt Scotch whisky on top by gently pouring it over the back of a spoon.
