Zara’s Christmas sale has officially begun and I’ve already worked out what I want to shop. As someone who’s always hunting for a discount, sale season is my time. I’ve even found myself with a whole shelf of end-of-season sale pieces I’ve snapped up, patiently waiting for the weather change to finally take their place in my wardrobe. But a winter sale is a whole other calibre. As soon as your sale pieces arrive you can rip off the packaging (recycle it) and wear them that very day. For me, there’s no feeling like it.
Over my years of sale shopping I’ve snapped up some great bargains, but I’ve also made all the sale-shopping mistakes caused by the temptation of saving a few pounds. And as I’m trying to be more conscious when shopping, I’ve found a trick for deciphering the sales. I’ve created selective wish lists on every site you can think of featuring only the best products—pieces I genuinely love—so that when a decent discount rolls around I already have a concise edit of the styles I’ve loved previously. And if they still spark joy, they’re coming home to me. Of course, I’ll be sharing my long-loved Zara favourites that go on sale this winter with you below.
Aside from being able to immediately sport your new buys, the winter sales offer up an opportunity to expand your wardrobe with current styles—the pieces you actually need right now. And in my opinion, the winter sales are the best of them all, as winter pieces tend to come with a higher price point (wool, silk, and cashmere are woven throughout the collections, while items like coats and boots always command more cash than lighter summer clothes and shoes), and with brand’s sights set on next season, you really can unearth amazing deals on winter items which, let’s face it, you’ll get the wear out of right up to May in Britain.
In my own Zara sale edit, you’ll find just that—knitwear and coats and boots and layering heroes I just can’t wait to get my hands on. Now that we know what has made it into sale, I’ve curated a list of the pieces I’ll be adding to my basket.

I can never say no to woollen camel, especially with 37% off.
A no-brainer really.
These look so expensive.
These look so high end.
Another very chic on-sale coat option.
This chic style also comes in cream.
An easy piece to layer upon.
Such a gorgeous design.
You’ll get so much wear out of this wool cardigan.
You can never go wrong with a classic cream knit.
So chic; I’ll wear it with a blue-stripe shirt.
So elegant.
I’d wear this just like the model—with tailored trousers.
I’ve had my eye on this for so long.
It doesn’t get sleeker right now than brown suede.
I’ll be wearing this with wide-leg jeans and loafers until spring arrives.
Such a great shape.
Such a great find.
