What to Buy Now is a concise weekly edit of the items I really love, including pieces from the high street, designer labels, vintage gems you can buy online and charity-shop treasures. I’m constantly scanning the most stylish online stores, so you can feel safe knowing that you won’t miss a thing.

I know that your fashion requirements can vary massively from season to season (and day to day), so whether you’re looking for an immaculately tailored staple, affordable tailoring or the perfect pair of shoes, I take my responsibilities as Who What Wear’s shopping editor very seriously, and I’ve saved you plenty of scrolling time by putting together an edit of pieces that will look just as fresh in a year’s time as they do now.

Of course, there’s also plenty of the pieces that simply set your heart racing in a way that only fashion can. Right now, the shops are full of seasonal essentials that are perfect for a crisp autumn, and this week’s edit includes plenty of wardrobe gems, like the Sézane that looks designer, and the Marks and Spencer silver trousers that are about to be a certified bestseller. So keep scrolling down to shop the exciting new buys on my wish list this week. You know what to do.

Call off the search–I’ve found the perfect fluffy cardigan for everyday wear, and it comes in red, black, blue and pink too. A true wardrobe staple.

The weather is shifting and Marks and Spencer’s latest drop of winter-ready clothing is exceptional this season, but it’s these hotly anticipated silver trousers that might just be my favourite piece on the entire site. Act fast, these are selling like hot cakes.

COS’ Atelier collection is the best thing to happen to our wardrobes since the blazer, but its this wool scarf that caught my attention for its simple, outfit-elevating prowess.

They’re back in stock and better than ever, and after searching for months for the perfect leather ankle boot, I’m convinced that you can’t top The Row’s cult classic.

Neutral knits are a wise investment buy and sweaters like this never go out of style. BRB, just copying this entire outfit…

We’ve always been sold on Unreal Fur’s cosy outerwear but the new Love Affair coat is the chicest way to dress up even the most simple outfits this winter.

Banish the Monday blues by scrolling though the beautiful pieces in Neous’ new-in section. Expect the refined design, elegant touches and unmistakably premium quality we’ve come to expect from the brand’s artisanal heritage.

Just look at that thick, squidgy shearling. If cold winter weather gives me an excuse to layer up like this, bring on the frost.

Riding boots are about to be huge this year, so get ahead of the crowd in Marks and Spencer’s glossy patent flat boots. They look just as good with a mini skirt and blazer for evening as they do with a fluffy knit and leggings in the day.

I can’t help it, I’m winter coat obsessed—and Mango might have given me my favourite coat of the year (so far).

Yes, you read that correctly–this really is from the high street (not that anyone would know).

Just when you think your wardrobe is finally complete, you come across a chic longline waistcoat like this one. I promise you, they really will rise to every occasion.

New from Jimmy Choo, the Nell knee-high boots  are a perfect flat-soled wonder for the “will-it-won’t-it” weather. Wear now with a mini skirt and leather jacket, or swap for a pair of leggings and wool coat later in the month.

There’s something about this sleek off-the-shoulder top that makes everything that it’s paired with look far more expensive.

I get excited every time I come across an understated, elegant leather bag, and J&M Davidson’s 90’s baguette is currently top of my wish list.

Sleek, chic and polished. ATP Atelier’s Mary Jane flats are a lesson in elevating the everyday.

Pared-back luxury is Raey’s calling card, but it doesn’t get more opulent than a pair of slouchy, strokably soft cashmere trousers that you can dress up and down depending on your mood.

I don’t know about you, but I’m counting down to the next opportunity to get some winter sun. Nere’s Instagrammable luggage comes in candy coloured hard cases, weekend and cosmetic bags, and even packing cubes to take the stress out of out prep. Bon voyage.

It’s almost too difficult to choose between Astrid & Miyu’s 12 day or 24 day jewellery calendars. There’s gold, silver, and even a limited edition 14k calendar too, but whichever one you do settle on, it’s guaranteed to be the most cherished purchase you make this season.

Thank god this coat keeps coming back into stock. It’s the perfect slouchy blanket style to wrap around your outfits for effortless elegance.

This is the first week we’ve really felt the drop in temperatures, and everyone will be looking forward to wearing cosy scarves like this again. An investment piece if ever I saw one.

If you’re a prolific TikTokker, you’ll already be familiar with Amazon’s trending woven bag. And trust me, it looks even better in person than pictures convey. Now to decide which of the 16 different colours to go for…

If ever there was an easy layer that said “quiet luxury” it would have to be this. Well done Muji, I’m going to be wearing these gilets (and longsleeved fleeces) on rotation well into next year.

And now something special in the run up to party season, Second Summer’s incredibly chic Yves Uro jumpsuit is elegance personified, and tops my list as the dream piece for Christmas, New Year and beyond.

Can’t get enough of shearling coats? Me neither, and this is double sided coat from Mango is a game changer.

Our love affair with tear drop earrings continues, and Otiumberg know how to bring an elevated touch to everyday pieces.

I’m almost embarrassed to admit just how many times I’ve added this scarf jacket to my wishlist, and now it’s back in stock, I’m ready to commit to the new shade of chocolate brown.

Those who are high-heel weary will appreciate John Lewis’s ultra sleek leather zip-up boots that will go with everything in your wardrobe.

We’ve all got a pair of black trousers in our wardrobes, but Leems’s latest high-rise pair prove just how elegant and versatile off-white can be.

I haven’t stopped thinking about this chic knit since I first saw it. Luxe dressing at its finest.

It’s the tenth anniversary of Max Mara’s iconic teddy coat and in celebration the brand has released a crystal studded “sparkling” teddy and a teddy mini for your little ones, but we’re still in love with the classic camel coat that has inspired hundreds of imitators.

Christmas is almost upon us, and in the spirit of some well earned self-gifting, Harrods exciting beauty calendar is top of my list. To me, from me.

Transitional weather calls for comfort first, and it doesn’t get sleeker than this cosy, longline coat you can pair with jeans, a fluffy knit and knee-high boot.

Cardigans are officially back (that is, if they ever left), and Balzac make a strong case for chic, effortless, French-girl styling with a little extra je ne sais quoi.

Wake up! New Mulberry bags have landed, and the iconic postman’s lock has been reinvented with a very stylish new twist.

I’ve been waiting all year for this coat to come back into stock, but be prepared to act fast, it sells out as quickly as it’s restocked.

Still not bored of waistcoats? Me neither, and the asymmetric buttons on this one make it feel entirely fresh.

I saw this jacket instore IRL, and it’s genuinely too cute to ignore.

These have been cool ever since they first landed, but now they’re back in even more covetable colours, I’m convinced they’re the best designer trainers on the market.

It’s too early to talk Christmas, so instead let’s settle for some cute self-gifting in the form of Astrid & Miyu’s initial pendant

When it’s too chilly for a denim jacket but too warm for a full coat, a shearling gilet is the perfect in-betweener.

I’m officially ready to give up my usual jeans-and-a-blazer uniform and live in this cosy dress for the rest of the year. Loungewear made luxe.

It might feel too early to talk about scarves, but believe me when I say, these never stick around for long.

Team Who What Wear are wide-leg trouser obsessed, and the new Uniqlo collaboration with Comptoir Des Cotonniers has resulted in a pair that ranks highly on our list.

The shape, the style, the colours (it also comes in tan, chocolate, black, chalk and cobalt blue). There’s nothing not to love about the latest It bag from Loewe. Expect to see this all over your Instagram feed soon.
