This has been the year of jeans and a tee outfits, an ageless combo that I love taking up a notch with a good feminine pump and duster cardigan. It’s no secret that Everlane make my favorite skinny jeans with the perfect thickness and amount of stretch in the denim, plus I have their box cut tee in 3 colors (went up 1 size for a slouchy fit) as my everyday layering basic. For the outer layer, as an alternative to the long camel sweater that I usually reach for, this houndstooth one incorporates two of my favorite neutral colors and is a bit of a statement piece!
Ann Taylor is having a big sale and this coatigan jumped out right away due to how thick the material is – truly a coat level cardigan. The fit is a little oversized and slouchy in style, with a slightly fluffy finish. I do want to note for those with very sensitive skin that it has a slight itch factor to it. The pattern is bold but the color scheme is soft and looks nice quality in person. It’s currently on sale along with these flannel bow slingbacks that are 50% off and fully stocked!
Here it is with an all winter-white outfit featuring the easy ankle pants again reviewed in this post! I have heard from several of you since who’ve been equally happy with these pants. Love the pull-on style stretch waistband for all day comfort, the smooth finish and drape on the fabric, and the full lining on the white color to prevent sheerness!
Aside from this Everlane tee and these jeans which I have in black, white, and blue, another staple in my cold weather wardrobe has been this J.Crew sweater blazer. I shared a detailed review of it this fall and have styled it with everything from leggings to joggers to corduroys for the office. The J.Crew sweater is medium in weight, compared to the very thick houndstooth coatigan from AT!
