Ever chic and always in tune with the latest trends, Victoria Beckham emerged this week in a trending draped dress whilst out for lunch in London’s Notting Hill. Though Beckham’s style is right up to speed (of course, she’s a fashion designer), she’ll forever be a ’90s girl in our hearts, so I was pleasantly surprised to spot her in a quintessentially throwback draped dress on her return to London from Paris Fashion Week.
As Y2K style is still going strong, cowl-neck styles have been spotted on all of our favourite influencers, as well as in the windows and new-in sections of our tried-and-true high-street heroes of late. Bringing her look back into 2023, Beckham wore her head-to-toe black ensemble with oversized shades and a small, black handbag. Fitting in another nostalgic reference, the former Spice Girl wore her dress with a favourite shoe style of hers: the peep-toe boot. Part of a previous Victoria Beckham collection, her peep-toe boots extend up the leg in a thigh-high style.
Never one to underdress, Beckham’s lunchtime look was accessorised with dainty drop earrings and a low, loose ponytail, which allowed the details of the dress to shine through. Though Beckham’s dress is from her own brand and sadly sold out, high-street stores have plenty of offerings in similar flattering cuts. From H&M to Mango and Zara, shop my edit of the best draped dresses below.
