This autumn has been a lucky season for all Victoria Beckham fans. With the release of 4-part docuseries, Beckham, which chronicled the lives of David and Victoria Beckham, earlier this month, as well as her highly acclaimed runway show in Paris during Fashion Week in September, we’ve had a full helping of Beckham sightings and fresh fashion inspiration as of late.
Since her Posh Spice days of the ’90s, Beckham has held a special place in our hearts for her considered, chic and on-brand personal style that leans on classic silhouettes as well as new trending styles. As a fashion writer, I spend a good amount of time analysing the nuances of celebrity style, as an unabashed Beckham fan, I am delighted to share with you my learnings of how Beckham keeps her winter outfits looking both timeless and trendy. Read on to discover how Beckham’s winter wardrobe staples, as well as how she likes to style them.
Style Notes: Well acquainted with the power of subtle accessories, last week Victoria Beckham was spotted styling a timeless pair of fishnet tights with her long-ling black dress. This time, Beckham opted for a mini dress pairing for a chic evening look I’ll be copying this winter.
Printed tights add a playful element to any party look.
Style with an all-black outfit like Beckham, or inject some colour with a red knit.
This shimmery fishnet tights we practically made for party season.
Printed tights are remerging as the go-to accessory this party season.
Style Notes: Nothing makes getting dressed for event season easier than an excellent suit. In a chic, long-line cut, the bright white shade comes to life. Style with black accessories for a monochrome outfit that will look like it come straight from Beckham’s wardrobe.
Style the low-cut blazer with or without a blouse underneath.
Wear with the matching blazer or style with your favourite navy knit.
White suiting is the winter trend I’ll come back to every year.
These relaxed trousers can styled throughout the whole year.
Style Notes: This season I’m buying into the draped dress trend for its flattering and wearable qualities. Opting for a long-sleeve version just like Victoria, there’s no need to pack away your dresses when winter rolls around.
This long sleeve knit will keep you warm in the depth of winter.
In my opinion, this is the perfect event season dress.
A rib-knit dress will keep you cosy without the the bulk of normal wool.
Style a sleek satin style with pointed-toe shoes or flats.
Style Notes: Add a dramatic element to a simple look by forgoing jeans for an anti-trend flared trouser. They can be styled up or down with sky-high heels or worn casually with trainers—a leather jacket and Hermès bag will go either way.
So chic, so comfortable.
Wear these into the office with an oversized blazer and blouse.
Flared jeans are a timeless silhouette.
This season, I’m shopping all of my denim in dark wash and black shades.
Style Notes: If you’ve studied Victoria Beckham’s style as I have, you’ll know her best outfits often feature a jet-black dress. As we head into the winter I’m on Beckham’s side, opting for elegant black dresses all season long.
Off-the-shoulder dresses are a building trend this season.
This crepe style dress looks so chic with a pointed toe shoe.
Asymmetric dress styles continue to trend this season.
Nothing screams party-season like a velour gown.
