I’m playing catchup after our Paris trip and can’t wait to share more, but wanted to mention Levi’s is having a good sale now through 4/22! Take 30% off when you buy 2 or more items, and if you sign up for a free online account you get free shipping and return shipping. Since each wash can differ in fabric feel and even fit, I wanted to update my previous Levi’s reviews with in-stock colors I’d recommend!
For guys, I wanted to mention that despite mixed reviews, these 541 Men’s taper fit jeans in “let’s go home” are a hit and the only jeans that Nick wants to wear lately. The wash is a versatile medium blue and the fit is TTS. The other washes didn’t fit the same, so we only recommend this particular color!
1. Wedgie Straight Jeans
These are still my top pick for Levi’s that are the easiest to style and flattering on petites. They have a high rise, slim straight leg, low stretch denim, button fly and the most flattering “lift” at the rear. The 26″ inseam works on me with flats and looks nice with a low heel or booties in the winter, too.
These are so good I have them in 3 washes. If I had to pick my most worn, it would be “Space to think” medium blue (pictured at the top of this post) since they have a little more grain in the wash and a touch more stretch than my other Levi’s. They’re comfortable for a full day of wear and the knees don’t bag out much. These were just fully restocked!
My second most worn wash would be “Fully Baked” light wash. These are an even light blue with no excessive bleaching or whiskering. Since my figure fluctuates over the years, I own these both in 24 and 25 for a looser fit.
My most recent addition are this pair in “In the Clouds,” which are a classic slightly off white. The above blue washes are 99% with a touch of lycra, while the white are 100% cotton.
2. Denim Jackets
I also wanted to share two of their jackets that I tried on recently. I’m personally very into the 90’s relaxed oversized look, but from IG polls it seems most of you still prefer the classic cut! Both of these are made in a cotton-tencel blend and I was impressed at how the denim felt soft with a little drape, not at all stiff.
90s jacket: roomy on-trend oversized fit, drop shoulders, slight pleats at the wrist cuffs
Original trucker jacket: regular, more straight cut fit and on-seam shoulders
3. Ribcage Jeans
These are my other personal favorite Levi’s style, but I acknowledge that many petites don’t love this high of a rise! True to the name, the ribcage has an ultra high rise and a more relaxed straight leg that is cropped on the model but full length on me.
My uniform has been pairing these with a cardigan jacket and my ballet flats (example here) or sneakers. The pant leg covers up my socks fully, so I can wear my comfiest above-the-ankle cotton socks with sneakers for max comfort!
My most worn wash in these is the “In the Middle” light wash pictured below, which are a denim-tencel blend that’s thinner and softer than your usual more rigid Levi’s.
4. 501 Crop Jeans
These are a popular, “original” Levi’s jean that are similar to the Wedgie Straight but have more room around the hips and thighs on me. For my body type, I prefer the Wedgie Straight but wanted to show these since they come in petite-friendly inseams.
