The Show-Spiration

Want to see the catwalk inspiration behind this trend? Several SS25 catwalk shows featured blue or green eyeshadow, showcasing a trend towards bold, colourful eye makeup for the upcoming season.

Harris Reed
Models wore icy blue eyeshadow with a 1990s-inspired aesthetic, paired with thick, bold lashes to create a doll-like beauty.

Marques Almeida
Several models in this show featured a frosted, pearly blue eyeshadow that extended up to the eyebrow, in a bold, 70s-inspired look.

Tove
This show incorporated moss green and navy eyeshadow looks.

Chet Lo
Bright blue eyeshadow not for you? How about cobalt eyebrows instead? Chet Lo’s models had blue brows and hair in the SS25 show.

True Blues
There’s no one size fits all approach to this trend. Frosted pearl blues give a 70s vibe, while electric blue works well as a liner or accent shade. Navy is a new season take on smoke, while soft denim tones are wearable for daytime.

Top Tips For Application

Prep your lids with primer or a touch of concealer for longer-lasting colour.
Blend at the crease to avoid colour settling into lines.
Cream colour offers higher colour pay-off, but shadow is blendable and buildable.
Pair with nude or neutral lips and cheeks to avoid a look that’s OTT.
Opt for cool toned blues for blue eyes or electric blues to contrast with brown or green.
